Warren was up at the Kawi update meeting today. It's mostly an engine oriented meeting, but they made a presentation on their handheld line to try to get some dealers interested in it. The Kawi rep said that in response to dealer requests, they will be coming out with some chain saws. Anyways, its a Model 358.350810, 40cc saw. Oregon PowerMatch bars are bars for the masses. Buy from any of the big internet retailers and you get great value, of course this also holds true with Windsor. IMO, the PowerMatch bars offer the best bang for the buck when you compare useful life to initial cost. Oregon Pro Lites are good bars for smaller saws.Cutting speed is good. With a Carlton semi chisel chain it cut the small stuff like a laser. I made a couple cuts through 14" fir and it pulled through it fine. I had bought a husky 435 last year for this type of work and the 3500 cuts fast. The Makita EA3500 runs like you would expect a ms261 or 550xp smooth and fast but not the same power lol ...25.
