The sensor is standing up with the plug on top. The sensor is standing up with the plug on top. You can also look on top of the trans "just behind" where the coil pack ends (towards the firewall), same sensor.I just had to pull the one out of my 03. Mine is the 2.7 (Tuscani) and it was not easy. I have done several swaps in different vehicles and this one took me 5 days working 3-4 hours a night. You have to pull half the motor apart to get it out. But it was well worth it the drop a stage 2.5 clutch and change my throwout bearing.Check fuses, not visually but with a tester or meter. Tester will light on back of fuse when fuse is open (ignition on). Meter should either show "0VDC", or "battery voltage" when checking both fuse tabs on the back side of the fuse to ground.
